My youngest son goes to school in Iowa. I have vacationed in Iowa. Iowans seem nice. I generally like Iowa, but was dismayed when I heard that the Iowa Caucuses chose creepy Ted Cruz on the Republican side.
Then I saw that he only got 51,000 votes out of a state of 3.1 million people. I feel better now. I think it is OK for a state like Iowa to have 1.6% of it’s population crazy enough to prefer creepy Ted Cruz, especially considering the alternatives.

Grew up in Iowa, but escaped. Trust me, the educated ones still out there are appalled with the political situation. They just hope the next mass shooting takes out uber-Republican Governor Terry Branstad because after nearly 35 years, not much else has.
