I encountered this dangerous-looking character while canvassing my neighborhood today on behalf of Democratic candidates.
It even struck at me. Being a snake in the grass, I have to assume it is a Republican. I think the forked tongue and yellow belly definitely confirm GOP.
No worries. I was not bitten. I even got myself a new snakeskin belt!
