Way Open Concept

Here we are at Day 2 of my Twelve Days of Blogging. I thought it would be fun to show you the home project we decided to move forward with during the holidays.

We have an open concept house in our family room and kitchen area. It is a nice, large, livable, open space. We like it. However, we also have more traditional areas in the house like in our living room and dining room. I had hoped to continue that more traditional theme in our master bathroom that we are having renovated and expanded. This seems way too open to me …

That’s my favorite toilet of all time. The height is just right and it never clogs. So, I decided to keep it after removing it. It is sitting right next to our bed now, and let me tell you, I have gotten really spoiled. It is super convenient for nighttime use.

In our first house, we had the best winter toilet ever. It was in our lower level, right next to the furnace, so very cozy. Nothing else around it, just a furnace and its toilet buddy. I couldn’t really turn it into a bathroom with the furnace so close, but I seem to recall rigging a curtain around it for a modicum of privacy. Not that I needed it.
