I saw the NY Times are reporting a lawsuit being filed against Trump Monday morning …
Although not a Trump supporter, I do take exception with the reasoning behind the lawsuit.
This paragraph explains the reasoning why the lawyers think that Trump is violating the Emoluments Clause in the Constitution …
“In the new case, the lawyers argue that a provision in the Constitution known as the Emoluments Clause amounts to a ban on payments from foreign powers like the ones to Mr. Trump’s companies. They cite fears by the framers of the Constitution that United States officials could be corrupted by gifts or payments.”
I really take issue with the lawyers bringing the lawsuit for that reason. There is absolutely, positively NO freakin’ way that such payments to Trump’s companies could corrupt him any more than he is now.
That appears to be a valid point Jim.

Sadly, it may be more true than humorous. Thanks for reading, liking and commenting.
