Mite Be Groundhog Day

It certainly seemed like spring arrived yesterday in greater Chicagoland. The temperature hit 50F/10C with sunny skies, so along with millions of other locals, I headed outside … in shorts. First thing I did was one of my favorite outdoor activities …

I cut my toenails on the back patio. I like to do that to distribute my DNA all over outside, just in case. In case of what, you ask? Oh, right, you didn’t ask. But I’ll tell you anyway. In case my DNA is ever found at a crime scene, I want to be able to prove that my DNA can be found all over the place and therefore, I am innocent. I rest my case.

But the best activity yesterday was taking my first bike ride of the year. It was fun, but painful, as I reacquainted my leg muscles with lactic acid. I continued staying true to my New Year’s resolution to try new things as I have never biked as early in the year as the first of February.

Good weather is forecasted to continue for a while, so I’m hoping it actually Mite Be Spring.
