I sent congratulations via Twitter to a favorite rock star from my childhood. I was a bit surprised when I saw this.

If I told my kids about it, I imagine it would go something like this …
Me: I got a tweet reply liked by Burton Cummings of the Guess Who.
My Kids: Sorry, we don’t know the answer.
Me: I just told you. Burton Cummings of the Guess Who.
My Kids: Look, we’ve never heard of him, so we don’t know who.
Me: No, not The Who. I thought I was clear when I said Guess Who.
My Kids: Yeah, you were. But we don’t know Burton Cummings or any of them.
Me: No, not Them. That was Van Morrison’s band. I’m talking about the Guess Who.
My Kids: Dad, have you ever considered a cognitive ability test?
Me: Already aced it, just like Trump. Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV. Maybe I should ask the same question of you, too?
My Kids: Oh, now we’ve heard of U2. They’re old, aren’t they?
Me: >Sigh<
