As I walked today, I was reminded of one additional New Year’s resolution I need to make for 2024. I walked past our local elementary school where my wife works. There it was, staring at me in the face again. How can kids learn anything in that school with this sort of topsy-turvy nonsense plastered on the windows?

The 202 looks right on the second floor, but why is room 302 on the first floor? Shouldn’t that be room 102? For someone like me who has OCD tendencies, it is an affront to my senses every time I walk past. And how are the kids going to learn that 302 > 202? My tax dollars are being used to make the school children worse at math, and we don’t need to get any dumber in the US.
My wife seems unconcerned, despite being able to see this numerical abomination every day from her office. She has direct access to the school’s principal, but she refuses to use her influence to request the room number change. There is another solution that I can effectuate myself.
