I am tired of gun arguments that go like this …
Me: I want more gun control.
Gun Lover: Not me. The Second Amendment protects my gun ownership like my gun protects me.
Me: Really, how does it do that?
Gun Nut: I own a gun to protect my home and family.
Me: Really, how does it do that?
Gun Psycho: No bad guys are going to mess with my home and family with my guns there to protect me.
Me: Aren’t you worried about your kids getting into your guns?
Gun Lunatic: No, they are safely locked away.
Me: I don’t own a gun and my home and family have never been threatened. How would the “bad guys” know to attack me, but not to mess with you, even though your guns are locked up?
Gun Crazy: Because I own a gun to protect my home and family.
Me: <sighing, shaking head, teardrop forming in corner of eye>
