At the store this morning I paid my bill with cash and awaited my change.
Cashier: That will be $18.45 in change.
Me: That’s the year I was born. (Note: That is my standard line whenever I am given change or charged an amount that begins with 18 or 19 and likely the reason my family will not shop with me.)
Cashier: Oh, really? <hands me change>
Maybe I should have bought that jar of moisturizer after all.
