My car’s back-up camera is working, but …

I leased a car recently, and all is well except for my back-up camera. It is a nice little safety feature on a car, when it is working properly.

Mine is working, but I’m not so sure how properly it is working. I think the car dealership messed-up the paperwork and programming of the car. I think they may have used my birth date where they should have used the lease date. Now when I put the car in reverse, the camera displays what the area behind me looked like decades ago when I was born. It is a bit disconcerting to back-up out of the driveway every day into an open field displayed on the screen instead of our street.

I have an appointment set-up with the dealership to bring the car in and have them reprogram it. I’m going to see if they can reprogram it for 100 years in the future. After they do that, I hope I don’t get static or a blank screen when I back-up.
